Similar impressions to mine, I was pleasantly surprised when he didn't turn out a rapist too yeah, the sex was weird but oddly consensual. Their relationship felt more driven by lust than romantic feelings (Even if they are there), even in the end they don't act like the married couple Minakami and Tamamori are but their relationship still has a way to go. (I think in the post-game stories they fuck a lot of but they still haven't defined what they actually are)

I already had a feeling the whole game was going to be some sort of fictional story in-universe considering the theme of hallucinations and books that was already established beforehand, so it wasn't that much of a shock in the end. It does make you wonder what even the point was of all the other routes if they weren't real. The part where he ended up having the giant retard as both a fuckpet and a son was also pretty baffling.
There isn't really a point, it's not even a good "dealing with grief" game I think because he barely deals with it, it's not like the protagonist wakes up, deals with the loss of his friends and starts to recover so he can become a better, more adjusted person, he uses the child he groomed as a human dildo to get off (Assuming the child isn't an illusion too, given he can see Tamamori's delusions), it's just tonally jarring after the game deal with a lot of human themes rather well (Except Hanazawa's route which is dogshit). The whole game just comes off as a sex fantasy from some dude who wanted to fuck his imaginary friends and get over it. Which would have been fine if they didn't make you care for these people for 30 hours to then throw everything away for a 1 hour long route filled with fucking a literal retard. Like the moment Tamamori wakes up and just goes "lol Minakami suicide was a fiction I wrote for a movie" made me scratch my nails against a wall.

I can't say agree. DMM was retarded, but like similar games it doesn't invalidate your game, here I just feel like I wasted time. It's not even good jacking off material. Can't really recommend the game anymore. It's honestly one of the worst endings to a story I ever witness.
