Forget about everything related to IA, as it stands today it is destined to fail and you can see that the most important IA companies are facing a class-action lawsuit for stealing art that does not belong to them, want me to tell you something funny? Stability AI was developing a model called "Dance Diffusion" and they had to stop the project because they couldn't steal copyrighted songs because they know that the record companies would eat them alive if they tried to do the same as with Stable Diffusion.
>I love art too but I have horrible time trying to make it. Drawing is NoT fun for me, but when I actually progress and get results I want out of drawing I love it
You seem to have a great passion for music but I don't see the same thing happening with visual art as you suffer from not getting the results you want, I can't tell you what's going on here because only you know that but if I had to guess it's either a misguided approach to what making visual art is or it's just not your thing, don't listen to what the frustrated idiots of /ic/ say, drawing should be fun for you even if you suck at it, you can go ahead and get pretty good at drawing but all you will get is a frustrated artist who hates drawing and treats it like an office job like many professional artists in the industry today and they will be forgotten by time.
>I think in the future artists are going to be heavily incorporating AI in their art. Drawing over it, using it for bgs. And all that. It’s like when music started to become digital. Samples and loops and presets, I’m sure there were groups of traditional musicians hating on it but eventually it takes over
In the hypothetical case that you are right and the AI as it is today succeeds, what will become of you? how would you succeed if today you give yourself to the AI and do not continue to polish your artistic skills, keep in mind that AIs are in a phase of receiving human input and its ultimate goal (and I do not say it, the companies that developed them say it) is to achieve autopilot and no longer need human input, so these AIs collect information from the prompts that are inputed to them. what will become of you, a person with no skills and no advantages against the machine?
>I just want to be successful at what I like to do and make money doing it instead of wagie slaving on boring jobs, I see many ppl I know not very successful even though their songs are fire.
It is not in you the power to succeed or not, that depends on the public, that's why people tell you not to do art for fame or money, the only thing you will achieve is to feel even worse about yourself when you don't make it, it is very rare that you go out there and become a star, you have to be very lucky and be in the right place at the right time and unfortunately that does not depend on you. Make art for art's sake, that's what will take you far.
