Old business standards. Companies assume people seeing the game substitutes for playing the game, costing them sales.
The issue is that they dont understand the free advertising aspect and realize if someone popular is playing a game, people might play it themselves. Even if it's single player, at worst they could require the streamer to cut the playthough short enough that fans would have to buy the game to finish themselves. Either way wont happen since Jp CEOs are all old and uninformed idiots
