Speaking of comebacks, I have this rather ignorant impression where an established seiyuu commands a high price regardless of whether he/she hasn't been relevant for a while. Is this completely off the mark from the actual state of things?

I admit I don't watch nearly enough new anime to encounter older "big" names like Nozomu Sasaki or Megumi Hayashibara playing modern roles, so that's partly where my ignorance comes from. On the other hand, there are ones like Koyasu and Shinichirou Miki that I still hear every now and then. Maybe the producers have more characters that fit the voices of the latter? Or maybe the former are just plain too pricey?
