I literally made the image in Paint. Is there a good freeware image editing program. is GIMP good?

Yeah, I was struggling a lot with how to word everything correctly. I didn't want to lose too much of the original nuance, but it everything does sound unnatural. I'm also pretty bad at Japanese.

Does this image look a little better? I'll try and download a proper image software so I can actually align things instead of by eye with the MSPaint ruler.
