Over time it warps the boards destroying the pegs and causing them to interlock unevenly.

It makes it easier to fully close the beads on one side and for me to leave one side unmelted which is the look I prefer as it looks more uniform especially when mixing brands of beads for color pallet.

Finally it allows me to do a sprite in a modular fashion. I can complete a section and transfer it off the board to avoid losing the whole sprite in a disaster or finish it later if I run out of a color and I can still use my boards until I get that color. It also allows me to make sprites larger then my boards allow as I can transfer all the modules off the board and line then up and stick them together with tape before they are melted. I have always had problems patching together already melted pieces as the edges melt and warp in shape.

Can you see the crease where I patch this sprite together?

I have most of them sorted, bought in sorted packages, I just have mixed containers for oddball colors/colors I don't have. It would be a good hobby for a NEET, I am away all the time for work and made most of them two years ago when I was laid off for two months. I booked this week off for vacation, I hope to find some time to make a few more before I leave again next week.
