Strictly speaking, "kaiju" just means "strange beast". However, nowadays it tends to refer to giant monsters a la Godzilla, and the genre of disaster movie involving them, which is the word's definition as a loanword to English. This means that a gashadokuro might be a youkai that is also a kaiju (or a kaiJIN, because of its humanoid shape) but even then, it might not necessarily be called that except if it were rampaging through the streets of Tokyo.
