I went to japan with no prior research of its culture, language or history, had a bad time, now let me tell you why Japan is a garbage country based on my limited understanding and negative experiences.

No, its different. Japan =/= America you dumb fuck.

Japan is not an extroverted culture, if you learned about the country before going, you'd know this.
Japanese arent being racist when they dont want to talk to you. Japanese just DONT TALK to people they dont know, ESPECIALLY in tokyo. Nobody gives a shit about you, they are busy and have lives of their own, they dont feel like hearing some extrovert gaijin's amazing life story, nor do they want to make friends with a tourist who will leave in a week.
With the japanese, if its not necessary to speak to you, they wont. Idle chitchat with strangers is RARE. Dont expect it!
Also, Very few normal japanese (that dont work in the service industry) know english, thats just how it is, since majority of english teachers are TERRIBLE at teaching and only went into teaching as an excuse to come to japan. Most of them dont give a shit about their jobs so japanese dont learn shit.

Not everyone from japan is into anime and manga, YOU WOULD KNOW THIS IF YOU RESEARCHED THE COUNTRY BEFORE GOING.
