If it's actually just R07 endorsing Ciconia, then what a bold move! Even going as far as including a new character in his most well known work into pretty much screwing one of his most beloved loli!
That would be a letdown for sure. Does it make sense? Kinda since Higurashi is it's own story I guess? Then it begs the question that why even add all this 'easter eggs' in here? Even heavily implying so.
If that happens then I'll gladly side to the people who're wholeheartedly shitting on the new anime for sure.
But if this for a fact turn out to be the 'pipeline' that we've been waiting for and what this anime seems to be hinting, then.. You sold me R07.
