ok i read it but i don't share that experience. for example when you read death note and read 心臓麻痺 and see someone die of a heart attack in multiple contexts it sticks pretty well. multiply that for the thousands of words you easily acquire reading manga and you can quickly build up a nice vocabulary base while having fun. still there are a lot of literary words that you must learn by reading books, i am not disputing that. reading novels is different than reading manga, but i believe you can learn a lot from manga
