They do establish Kureha's motivations pretty early on is the thing. She keeps saying she's in it for the entertainment and the funny thing is she actually means it; they keep hinting it'll go the whole 'oh but deep down she's really a good person' tough boss cliche and she encourages this line of thinking, and then every time Eishi (and me) fell for it. The poker game with her maid where Eishi loses everything I ended up audibly yelling out FUCK! because they got me, hard. Probably should have seen it coming but they made things very persuasive in the moment.

Honestly though I was surprised they made her the last boss of sorts, literally everything else had been building up World's Worst Dad as final boss and so when he finally ate it (I wish Yuura had gotten to use her bat) it felt over for the most part, the rest of the stuff felt like loose ends to me. That's why I burned out, one too many emotional climaxes.

I actually liked all that about her however, and I liked her character a great deal. She was an interesting unknown. And here I am whining that the MC didn't fuck her.

Really though, Lucle needs to stop making best girls unromanceable.
