Isn't weird that the new melty shows akiha using her origami just like that? Especially considering her abilities and their origins are treated as a big reveal in far side routes and Type lumina is described as a purely tsuki r fighting game with nasu going as far as cutting out sion simply because she doesn't appear in the story of tsuki r.
So here's my theory type lumina doesn't bother hiding akiha's abilities because nu near side will already have her using them and reveal some secrets of the tohno bloodline to build up hype for Far side.
