It is acting since that scene is from a movie.

That movie is actually a fake making of documentary about those girls (Ikuta, Nanamin and Manatsu) filming a low budget movie (about schoolgirls being in a psychic power research club). At some point the movie starts to blend in with the reality and the girls actually become those characters they are playing as.
