>What are your favourite stages from the mainline touhou games?
Stage 1: MS. The transition from greenery to black void along with the music sells the atmosphere for me.

Stage 2: SoEW, if only for the god-tier music and the boss fight.

Stage 3: Tough choice, but SoEW. The passageway to Reimaden and the Five Magic Stones were creepy as hell

Stage 4: MS, no contest. The Frozen World aesthetics and the general atmosphere both nailed it.

Stage 5: SoEW. Enemy design and buildup to the boss are both top-tier, even if it's cheating a bit since it's technically SoEW's final stage.

Stage 6: MS. Not a fan of Shinki but the buildup to the boss was even better than SoEW stage 5.

Extra: LLS by a landslide. Even better now that we've seen the dreamworld in recent canon as well.
