>>21068674 is right btw if you put in the time and consume the content and also do some reading on the side you should become "uncomfortably good" at listening for how bad your reading is. It happened to me. If it doesn't happen to you then you're not listening enough or you're listening to incomprehensible nonsense at bad times or you're abusing memorization.

This but several hours of reading/listening daily instead of just 30 or 60 minutes.

>>21058033
>the difference in listening is overwhelming too.
You have no idea how much Moogy actually "listened" to Japanese.
>ajatters actively listen for 4 hours minimum
No they don't.
>and passively listen all day
Background listening is literally 100% worthless. Putting Japanese music on repeat is more useful. Really.
>anki is always more efficient in terms of retaining vocab.
Anki is not more efficient if you read and listen so much that you're going to see everything more often in a natural context than you would in Anki. Anki is only useful when you're a beginner exactly because you can't read and listen enough for it to outpace Anki, but input can and necessarily will outpace Anki once you're intermediate.
>nick, ben, and patrick started ajatt when they started learning japanese.
I don't know Ben's situation. Patrick lied about when he started. Nick is the one who got NTR'd, right? He went outside of the AJATT method.
