I agree with you, and I hold a similar opinion. I believe that none of the three sites (danbooru, gelbooru, pixiv) are 'superior' to each other. Because guess what, we don't live in a perfect world where everyone can have everything they want. Compromises have to be made, sometimes for understandable reasons, though it's mostly just stupid bullshit instead.
If anything, I would advise one to use a bit of all three sites, to varying degrees. That's my stance on the unending argument that seems to be the subject of this thread, anyway.
