Finished Akatoki! Maki-Route. It doesn't even take 5 lines for you to understand, that this work ain't going to be the hottest, but I wanted to give another Escu:de game a chance. And voice-cast is somewhat interesting to me. (Aoba Ringo as Maki and Imai Asami as Sayaka) Plus who doesn't like blonde twin-tails?

Well, first of all, this is way better than the garbage that Hanayome to Maou was. That had cute girls until you saw their character.
It's not really good though.
The prologue is garbage and goes on FOREVER with shitty "friends" that afterwards get literally put on a bus. (Which is good, as they suck, especially the girl)
The heroines are mostly fine, till the 5th one comes in. She is "what were they thinking?!?"-tier shit. AND the heroine of the last route, enforced.
Then you have your typical eroge shitty writing all over the place. Maki can be a bro and a nice character, but damn if the author didn't try his very best to make her seem artificially cute with the most stock standard tsundere shyness you can think of. The route is especially dreadful, as I kinda expected.
The serious part of the story was also terrible, from what I've seen, but I actually didn't care too much and just skipped, I was pretty done at that point.

Has gameplay too, pretty fun even. NG+ however sucks hard. Luckily I don't care about playing another route.

So yeah, can't recommend this. It's actually written by someone who also seems to have had a major hand in Material Brave, and what can I say? I'm not surprised. Very similar issues. This is probably a bit less retarded in terms of plot, but Material Brave has oh so slightly better heroines and definitely great gameplay (in my opinion).

Now for the biggest question: Is there a good Escu:de game?
