The only reason this happened is because Kimetsu no Yaiba reached a critical level of popularity where it started snowballing into normalfag territory and thanks to modern social networking the audience is now so much bigger than back when Shingeki no Kyojin became huge (not having shitty art and a convoluted story probably helped too).
That being said, the manga ending so quickly will kill the boom pretty quickly since Japan is all about hyping the current trends; I can guarantee the general public forgets Kimetsu in the next 6-18 months and the TV's focus returns to usual fads like new musicians and ippatsu geinin.

This means Kitou Akari being featured on 3DPDTV doesn't mean much, it's just an extension of old TV guys desperately clinging to trends and them picking her because she's the main heroine in the anime. Once Kimetsu's popularity winds down, she will become irrelevant as well.
Also, the kombi is called Hakata Hanamaru Daikichi (they created the kombi name and new stage names to sell better in Fukuoka; Hakata Hanamaru on left and Hakata Daikichi on right) and they both look like young Minase Iori.

I was looking for excuses to shitpost with geinin who had random roles in anime and laughed when I realized I could use the Minase impersonators.
