Should work on most computers just fine.

The controls are set in the qkoJAMMA folder. If you want a certain pad/stick, connect it, start the game, and a qjc file should be created with your pad's/stick's name, for you to configure.

To host you enable "Hosting=1" in the cfg file. To connect, you write the host's IP under "Host=Adress".
Both players need to configure their "Delay=X" to the same number.

I was like that too; really adamant about owning my own physical. But when my laptop's disc drive died and I didn't have the money to replace it, I had to download ISOs and NoCD cracks and deal with. If I didn't, I couldn't even play the games I already owned (but hadn't installed).
