1) See a new word
2) Look it up on Jisho, because Core6k arbitrarily picked translations rarely tell me anything about the meaning of the word
3) Look how to write the kanji (or just write it, if I already figured out the correct stroke order)
4) Write it until I feel like I remember it
5) Fail the card until I can write it without looking at the card more than a fraction of a second

And I do it every single day, of course.
