I'm the anon who remembered sad memories about how I've lost contact with a cute, blind girl who was a good friend, and you guys told me to contact her. Well, I did, even including in the message that if she didn't want to talk I'd understand.

It turns out that she ditched her old phone because she was studying in another country (which I knew she was planning, but didn't know she was going to abandon her phone).

Problem is, she's expecting that I've graduated by now, and she wants to know how well I'm doing. I had to stop my education for the moment because there was just no way to afford it any more, and I've spiraled downward since then (though I don't actually regret most of who I am now) from the view of a normal person.

What do I do? Should I just try to become not-so-pathetic in the few months I have before she returns?

In the meantime, an Elona thread because I haven't seen one in a while and I want to get back into it.
