Not at all, actually. WD was a fucking terrible company that made a lot of mistakes, fucked themselves (and countless others) over several times, and did a lot of damage to the localisation industry in general.

The only people that actually praise WD and Vic Ireland's faggotry are ignorant nostalgia kiddies that grew up playing his butchered garbage.

I honestly cannot think of a single justification for the things that he did, he turned solid games into buggy messes by doing stupid shit like fucking around with the game mechanics, adding his own bosses/characters, removing whatever he didn't like, and in one case he even cut out the ending to add an outtake reel.
Not to mention his incessant americanisation. mistranslations, and rewriting.

But enough about my bitching, want to see something funny? Here's his views on Idolm@ster:
>Victor: It’s not an RPG, per se, but the IdolMaster series is one of my dream projects. Initially I wasn’t into it because of some of the more unsavory aspects to the loli angle, but I’ve since worked out a way to fix it without breaking the game. That said, there are still issues to resolve to make it work here, but I think it could work for a western audience. The move back toward boy and girl bands it on the upswing again with groups like 1 Direction, so the timing might not be bad. There have been talks about this series specifically, but we’re not there yet.
