It is best to keep trying a set routine until it works and then it is easier to trigger lucid dreams using that repeated ritual.

Visualising your dream and thinking it over and over as you fall asleep helps. I often thought "I will dream of Su" over in my head.

Having one or two songs on repeat very quietly as you fall asleep is another useful trigger.

Using scents (your favourite perfume/cologne for example, I personally used patchouli essential oil) is another good way to get your brain "set". If you use the same one before you successfully lucid dream your brain will begin to associate the smell with the dreams.

I also watch bbm/SG videos before I go to bed.

It's mostly about repeating the same successful routine with which you first obtain lucid results. At least I found it that way.
