Not sure if this fits as "Otaku culture", but I'm writing a story set in Japan and I would like to know what would it be a fairly cheap Japanese second-handed hatchback that a 18 year old would have been offered by his parents if he lived in the suburbs of Tokyo.

The AE86 came to my mind thanks to stupid Initial D influence, but I guess they aren't cheap at all, even in second hand.
