Cirno Day has now begun! How are you celebrating it this year?

Here are some fun facts about the day:

- Cirno Day starts at 6:00 AM Eastern/3:00 AM Pacific September 8th. That is because it is 12:00 AM in Kiritimati (Christmas Island), just going into September 9th.
- Cirno Day ends at 8:00 AM Eastern/5:00 AM Pacific September 10th. That is because it is 12:00 AM on Howland Island and Baker Island, just going into September 10th.
- In case you noticed, that's a 26-hour time difference between the two time zones. Thanks to the craziness of how time zones work, Cirno Day spans a whole 50 hours.
- Since it started in 2002, this is the first Cirno Day to have three identical numbers in its year (three 2s: 2022). This will not happen again until 2122.
- This is the first Cirno Day since 2014 to happen at the same time as a full moon (the apex occurs at 9:59 PM on Howland Island and Baker Island). There will not be another full moon on Cirno Day again until 2033.
