According to Nasu, there was no retcon, just a misunderstanding. Secondly, Tsukihime, Talk, Prelude, etc will be all retconned from existence by the Remake. So why do you even bother to bring that up when you know the remarke is going to replace it.

What we know is it's a Magus. It happens in All Fate Timelines. And, aside of Extra world, it happens on the XXI century.
