It's a shame, truly, that we never got to see Shion go full yandere over Satoshi.
He was always already gone when Hinamizawa Syndrome got the better of her and turned her into an obsessed schizo. So the poster 'yandere girl' of Higurashi isn't even a proper yandere - because there's no one to protect for her.
But imagine if there was. How berserk could Shion go if she already had the syndrome a year prior and was convinced that a secret organization was behind Satoshi's sweet ass? We would get Yuno Gasai levels of overprotective schizophrenia action. Forget taking the school hostage, Shion has access to military equipment and could put the whole under her thumb.
Maybe we'll at least get a bit of that sweet yandere action with Watadamashi's answer arc, even though it's just going to be Mion.
