Wouldn't the ending be better if Rika and Satoko went full witch and kept fighting each other over many loops without caring about anything else until the world of Hinamizawa is literally broken and unplayable forever because the constant loops traumatized every other character and they cannot function normally without being flooded by flashbacks of all the shit that happened to them in the previous loops? Eua said that memory leaks are permanent and that's why Teppei is now always a good guy.

It would be a more fitting ending if Rika's rage at what Satoko did turned her into a fucking cold hearted witch and Satoko got even more crazy as a result, with their fight permanently fucking up the world and turning all their friends into traumatized shadows of themselves due to the memory leaks, rendering the Hinamizawa world broken and unlivable.

This would make Rika give up on living as a human, kill herself with the sword and cause Satoko to kill herself too, explaining why Bernkastel and Lambdadelta have fucked up morals, a toxic love-hate relationship and no intention of going back to Hinamizawa as humans. They can't, they killed themselves with the sword and the game itself is totally broken because they shortcircuited everyone's minds with all those loops.
