I would not transcode them. They are available in other formats (4096x2048 AVC is what VR JAV "usually" comes in)
SMB doesn't technically rule out the XBVR -> HS path because when you use XBVR it accesses the files over HTTP. The fact that it works on the Quest 2 tells me it really is some kind of weird oversight on Meta's part...

Heresphere autofocus fixes this, to an extent. yep, a limit of binocular vision but moreso a limitation of the camera, I can put my finger closer to my nose than the girls get before I go cross eyed, if that makes sense.
