I just finished reading all of higurashi and the main body of umineko (still have some of the extra content to do). I hear the new higu anime is some weird ass sequel bullshit. did the original anime follow the games well enough that I can just go into the new anime, or did they diverge so much that this new anime is a sequel to the old anime and the old anime only.
