Yeah, it looks like Anons are powering up when it comes to playing STGs.

Japanese ZUN is probably crying tears of joy.

I like Japanese ZUN and Touhou, but his music isn't better than the pros, and his games aren't better than the pro STGs that he was inspired by.

If you were to walk up to him and say "Sup ZUN I think Imperishable Night is better than XEXEX/Darius Gaiden/CAVE's shooters/etc." he would just spit out his beer and laugh at you. If you were to say his amatuer music was better than the great pro game music composers, then he'd really start to think that you were insane.

And there is a (Japanese) fan remix for every game in existence. Try looking around more. If you need help finding doujin remixes then I'll help you.

I can't agree with this, espeically when some of the best games in the genre were combinations of both.

What other Japanese shootan' games (either commercial or doujin) do you like besides Touhou?
