Nope. You see this is one reason I didn't want to change the table to include the multiplicant. AA only increases by 0.7*sqrt(stars). The AA radar modifier of *3 applies to the equipment's TOTAL AA stat after upgrading. So a 10 star type 21 kai would have 5+2.372= 7AA which is exactly the same as the FUMO. That 7AA is then subjected to the multiplier of 3 to calculate fleet AA.
