So i just read this guy tweet and try'd his formation for 5-5 https://twitter.com/neko_ragu86/status/445184266079457280

it's indeed viable, mid-lower path is less difficult, middle node has CVL, CL and DD with high ASW gear but with 3 BB and 3 opening torpedo attacks is cake, but i probably fuck'd up while picking pre-boss node formation and got most of my ships in orange/red. This needs more testing, but every sortie is quite costly.
