The only thing worse than a drunk oni was an injured oni. And the only thing worse than an injured oni, was a drunk, injured, whiny oni.

So, lucky me, I was now in senkai, with one roughed up oni, another slightly roughed up oni, and two halves of an oni who hadn't left each other's side since Reimu's unconscious bullet-spraying incident. Yamame didn't want to be alone in the same room as Reimu - which happened to be my room - so she wouldn't leave my side, Suika Ibuki kept trying to get up and wander off despite being incredibly injured by practically a hailstorm of danmaku from Reimu, Yuugi Hoshiguma wasn't quite so injured, but as a result was getting bored and had started wandering around and making Suika drink with her, and the two halves of Ibaraki-douji had taken over the table in the kitchen for a long conversation.

As a result, I didn't really know what to do with myself. I couldn't exactly stop Suika, being that she was an oni and I was a human, but I couldn't exactly stand by and watch as she injured herself more by trying to get back up. I'd tried explaining to Yamame that Reimu wasn't that dangerous, and that she'd be fine as long as Yamame didn't try and hurt her, but the easily scared earth spider wasn't having any of it. "B-But, what if she rolls off the bed or something? She might think I've tried to hit her!" At this point, Yamame had devolved into suggesting the most ridiculous scenarios she could think of with complete sincerity. It would have been adorable if it wasn't happening between two people who I cared a great deal about.

Since I couldn't do much with Reimu other than let her sleep some more, and Yamame wouldn't stay with her unless I was there, I decided to go and talk to the oni. If anything, I was curious about the events that had led to everything. Yamame and I entered the room that Suika had been dumped in, which was somewhere down the corridor. Yamame was silent as I moved to the edge of the bed, and she looked a little anxious.

"What, Reimu's thing? Yeah, she did that to me once, when we were having festivals for eleven days in a row. Thought I'd knocked her out, then up she got." Suika tried to get up once more, and I reflexively reached out and pushed her back down, which was something like trying to push against a brick wall. Happily, Suika only stared at my hand for a moment before relaxing back to the bed. Someone, probably Yuugi, had dragged her in after the fight had ended, and she'd at least spared the effort to wipe her face clean. It seemed that when Reimu had driven both of her shoes into her face, she'd cut her just a little, but in my experience, cuts on the forehead tended to bleed a lot and for a while. "She had me bouncing back and forth between those yin-yang balls of hers forever. Didn't even know it had happened until...Ooh, about three days later? She thought she was just hungover." That sounded very much like Reimu, capable of pulling off incredible acts without even realising she was doing it. "Why do you ask? Worried?"

A little bit, I conceded. I knew that Reimu was very strong, both physically and mentally, but I didn't like the way she had been pushing herself lately. "Can't say I've noticed. Then again, I was in the underground for a while, then I was here." Suika, it seemed, had become far easier to talk to. The first time, she'd threatened me and tried to choke me, but now that she was injured, she just spoke, cheerfully and calmly. "Ugh, useless, useless, useless. I hate being injured. Can't do anything. Hey, is my gourd there?" I frowned, looking down. No, I said, I couldn't see a gourd. "Huh? Where the hell is...Oh, it's with her in the village. Right. Ugh, you got any sake?" I did not, and I wasn't sure that drinking was the best thing to do right after getting injured. "Oh, because you'd know all about what's good for an oni?" Suika asked me, with just a hint of bite in her voice. I raised my hands and shook my head. She was the injured one, not me. "Oh no, I'm starting to sober up..." She threw her head toward me, which was halted by the way her horn smacked into the side of the bed. "Hey, boy." I mumbled that I was an adult. "So? You're still a boy to me. I need a distraction before a centuries long hangover either kills me, or makes me kill you. Give me something to talk about."

That sounded like something that an oni could actually do, so I decided not to try and tempt fate. Instead, I asked her how her and Yuugi's entrance to Lady Kasen's senkai had gone. How had they convinced Lady Kasen to stop, for lack of a better word, moping? A small smile grew on Suika's face. "It's a good story. Tell you what," She pointed at Yamame, who'd been awkwardly stood in the corner of the room the entire time, seemingly not sure what to do with herself. "Why don't you go and find me some sake so I can get back to my much more natural state, and I'll tell you all about it?"

Man, even in this fully clothed depictation, Suika is so lewd. I can't look away from there.
