Western sculpting lacks innovation.

They could be so much cooler, are instead run of the mill at best and downright awful at worst in comparison, and usually charing even more exorbitant prices than Jap stuff for lesser quality. It's just a lose lose.

That's not to say that there aren't some awful Japanese statues (there are plenty), but the best Japanese stuff runs laps around the best Western stuff.
