That ain't how you spell Canarias.
>Canarias once had the opportunity to repay the German Navy for their services during the Civil War. In May 1941 Admiral Raeder requested the help of the Spanish fleet in rendering assistance to the Bismarck, crippled by a jammed rudder and with the Royal Navy closing in, a half-day's steaming from El Ferrol. Raeder knew that the end was near and thought of the welfare of the ill-fated crew. Hitler opposed the request, it being bad for German prestige, but Canarias and two destroyers were on their way at top speed. A German weather ship and two U-boats came upon the scene of Bismarck's demise after the Royal Navy had retired. They found no survivors. Canarias scoured the area on a three-day search but encountered only wreckage and five bodies. The Spanish ships departed for El Ferrol on 30 May; the prepared hospitality for fellow comrades of the sea never bestowed.
