Yeah, I'd agree with that. She's always been the kind of character who tries to create a certain image of herself for others, which is why she typically hides how hard she actually works to keep up with everyone with her magic.
In fact, it even relates to her appearance. She's been shown to fly without her broom, and it's likely that the only reason she has it is to invoke the image of a witch.

Not really a personality trait, but Marisa's cooking looks good in the manga. I wish I could eat Marisa's cooking.
