How about a regular history version of an RGD character? I suspect Nina is a nearly 50 year old Hinamizawa housewife, probably one of those that gives Rika sweets when she shops. She goes by Ninagi Mio in this reality and she's NOT a prostitute or a mafia member, just a good old Hinamizawa villager with a husband and kids. Kimiyoshi Natsumi looks a bit like her, and she's almost canon because she was acknowledged by the fighting game, so maybe she's her daughter. Nina might have married old man Kimiyoshi's son and lost her maiden name.

It's also implied that Meryl is Takano's aunt who died in WW2 and never had the chance to become a prostitute or change her name to a westernized one. Both characters are named "Tanashi Miyoko", which means Meryl was the sister of Miyoko's dad and they named Miyoko after her. Her dad said they had no family left to take care of Miyoko after he died because they all perished in WW2, so it all fits. In RGD it's probably Miyoko's dad who dies during the great disaster, so Miyoko was never born at all and her aunt is a sorry ass prostitute.
