And that’s all I’ve got for the time being. At the end of the day these are just suggestions. None of this stuff is 100% guaranteed to make the beginning of your story good. There are plenty of other methods that I haven’t mentioned.

The important thing to do when writing is to… well, begin. Start writing right away. Get all the ideas in your head out on paper so that it’s tangible and real. Then once you’re done writing, go back and write it again but better. This is what is known as a “second draft”. And once you’ve gotten rid of the crappy stuff and kept hold of the good stuff from your first draft, go back and write it again but better.
And once you’ve done all that, congratulations, you have written a story.
