I don't visit any "foreign blogs".

I'm basing it off of the fact that they've yet to do Tokyo Dome/Budokan in their near 15 year run, if they were "borderline mainstream" they would've done it by now, while other acts like Perfume have done so and they did it in a far shorter amount of time too (Both Negicco and Perfume have been around the same amount of time). Like I said their popularity is stuck in some sort of purgatory where they don't really seem to be showing growth despite being on TV and commercials a lot and even having the backing of a city.

Smaller more "underground" groups have just about as much TV time/appearances if not more than Negicco and show faster growth than them like YLMLM, BiSH, Passcode and even Nama Udon. Not to mention just how much attention they get on social media/on the internet in general.

>Kaede only has 47k followers on twitter (She has the most out of the three)

>Ano has 175k

>Chanmomo even has 122k

None of their MVs on YouTube have even broken a million views. Are they bigger than "your local idol", oh for sure. The biggest show they've done in their entire career was at NHK Hall. Which seats about 3,000 people.

If anything they're probably just fairly known in Niigata. But that's about as "big" as they are. They're essentially mascots for Niigata.
