Well, in 4chan's case, the entire site is built around the concept of anonymity. The concept of identities being unimportant, and all that. To a degree it's only representative, but still, it has a certain effect on a person.
Indeed, misery loves company. True friendship, first and foremost, comes from understanding of each other, not just in good days but also bad days. And if a person is truly caring and understanding for you, even in the darkest of days, then blessed be your, and your friend's souls.
Please remember, anons: Get it off your chest, don't torture your soul. Don't contemplate on whether or not you should do it, just do it. I know it's easier said than done (trust me, I know it so painfully well), but that gives you an even better reason to do it. And if you can't find a person to speak to, then write it on paper. It might seem impossible to do, and it might be heart-wrenching to do it, but in the end you'll feel happy.
