its like saying youre not alive because its your cells that do all the work
the world is the sum of its parts and the boulder is just as important as the moss to keep it alive otherwise it wouldnt do the other things
it can even do things like the sun thing because it rotates and shapes itself to fit the surroundings and inhabitants. obviously this is because of gravity its not something the earth decided to do but at what point do we say `oh that doesnt count'
i doubt amoebae decide to breed they just do it naturally through the same laws that apply to everything else
same with growth all growth is accumulating matter because matter doesnt appear out of nowhere
