No, that's pretty much the opposite of what I said. I don't even remember the MGQ medusa so I'll let someone else poke at that but what you described makes it sound they're okay by the definition I gave. For MGE the fact that the snakes are capable of acting on the medusa's true/unconscious feelings--and acting in tandem with her when she's being honest--means they're not just some animal sharing a blood supply and are controlled by her brain. So long as they're under the control of pretty much anything capable of passing the Harkness test isn't straight bestiality.

Of course, we now wander into an area of vague definitions and philosophy, but that's my two cents. Also, I'm pretty sure this same topic has come up before in regards to Scyllei.
