On the other hand, NVLs are VNs where the text is completely overlaid on the screen, such as Fate/stay night, Higurashi, Umineko and Saya no Uta.

ADVs focus more on visuals, as most of the screen is taken up by graphical elements. NVLs focus more on the actual writing, as the text fills the entire screen.
