Well mud on my face, turns out that's just a random line someone decided to pop in on the wiki. This is really just another problem caused by the lack of material related to her, since in the few things she actually appears in, part of the plot simply involves someone getting past her. Not really a lot of opportunity to see otherwise.

Other than the bit in Inaba where she gets mobbed by rabbits, that pretty plainly is a point against her.

Hard to say frankly, she might have been at one point in her lie.. Fact is, being a youkai, she could have a very different perspective on the entire matter of eating humans, and on a lot of other things as well, than we might have or expect of her.

That's actually another subject I wish people would poke around in more, not just for Meiling, but the other non-human characters as well.
