I don't see why, she was absolutely obsessed and it affected it to such a point that it's one of the things that shaped up her personality and opinion on love and other people
The Erika in the boyfriend flashback is also entirely out of character, she is very different from the one we see in Rokkenjima, so it would be possible that she finally got over it after falling off the boat and making a pact with Bern to become a witch of truth
She is just too similar to Ange to not raise doubts about why she fell off the boat
