I almost hate to ask you /jp/, but suppose there was a Touhou strategy RPG.
Would you prefer the game have no random/luck elements to it? No misses, no critical hits, no RNG at all?
Or would you prefer it be like most RPGs and have random chance play a part in all combat?
I ask because I am tinkering with design sheets to pass the time, and I am torn between "skill only, no luck" and "random excitement to keep it from being monotonous."
Personally I would lean towards skill only, but that would come at the cost of interesting gameplay for speed characters like Aya or Youmu, or luck characters like Tewi.
So if you were to play a vs match of a strategy RPG, your party vs someone else's, would you want the RNG involved?
Millie related, as Suikoden II would be a major influence.
