Band-aid fag here (or maybe it was Aqua rolls herself? I forget which video I saw first). The past few nights I've been browsing the chronological development of hololive discussion on /jp/ since the term's first recorded use in January 2018. Figured if I can't be an oldfag I could at least learn from them.
What a trip it's been. I'm hoping you can point me to points of interest I should examine more closely though.
Some of my analyses so far: Sorafag was a more prevalent term than "hololive" itself in the beginning. Many bemoaned Roboco's existence. Even before Haato's debut, people were saying she seemed mentally challenged. Fubuki's importance and entrancing aura cannot be understated— she was a VTuber unlike anything the world had ever seen. Who is this breedable fox / dog / cat / tanuki / ferrett? Why is everyone giving her corn? Before womb-posting there was bellybutton posting.
I saw one or two comments saying that Cover had arrived on scene too late, that the market had already decided its leaders... how many people actually thought this? That vtubing had plateaued? Also, I noticed very little chat about Aki's surgery. Was it just not well known?
I've only made it to October 2018 so far. Any *important* things I've missed, or should pay attention to on my way towards **ger?
