I forgot to mention...

Maki also said during the time her brother got in trouble, she argued intensely with him a lot, and pretty much blamed him for destroying her career. Their relationship suffered. She was in America at the time and she had to come back. After her mom died she suddenly realized that her brother and sister were all the family she had left and that she had to love and be closer to her brother even after all that he did. Damn it, it was really depressing to read all the details.

For example she said that the night her mom died, her mother had been drinking and kept saying.. "I want to kill myself!". Maki thought she was drunk, and payed no attention, until she saw her mother sitting on the edge of the balcony. Maki told her to come off of it before she fell off by accident. She was saying this as this was turned around walking out of the room, then turned around and her mother was gone. Maki heard a "THUMP" sound, and she called out for her mother, but no reply.

Maki says she believes it was a accident, but only a half accident...
