I'm like 99% sure that the whole reason they're doing the V-Tuber route in general is so they can do Vocaloid-esqe lives where they have a hologram going during lives instead of the actual performer themselves. They've started doing it before (pic related).

It's hard for the 765 seiyuu to keep up live performances on the sole fact that they're old. Most of them are mothers and even more of them are married. A good number of them are close to or have already hit their 40s. However, voice acting isn't really something that deteriorates overtime in comparison, especially when these are voices they've been accustomed to using for long over a decade now. A switch like this pretty much guarantees a best of both worlds situation. Namco can keep milking fans while not having to force the seiyuu to do things they just can't do anymore.
